Role Overview
The RN Nurse Manager leads and manages a designated ICU/CCU unit, fostering a culture of clinical excellence, safety, and staff retention. They oversee resource deployment, financial management, and quality outcomes, ensuring compliance with standards and promoting evidence-based practice. The manager builds strong relationships with staff, physicians, and departments to support patient-centered care and service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Engage staff in decision-making and promote relationship-based care
- Serve as chief retention and safety officer, managing human and material resources
- Analyze financial and operational data to improve performance
- Foster collaboration, resolve conflicts, and build professional growth opportunities
- Ensure staff competency, adherence to professional standards, and compliance
- Promote evidence-based practice, safety, and quality improvement initiatives
- Build trust and engagement within teams and with physicians
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's preferred
- Licensure as a registered nurse
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of healthcare financing, safety standards, and quality metrics
- Ability to implement change management and utilize data for decision-making
