Nurse Manager (RN) - ICU

About the role

The RN Nurse Manager oversees the ICU/CCU unit, providing leadership in clinical, operational, and financial aspects to promote excellence in patient care and staff retention.

Responsibilities

• Engage staff in decision-making through shared governance and foster a culture of communication and collaboration.
• Manage human, material, and financial resources efficiently, utilizing quality improvement tools to enhance performance.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and professional work environment that supports staff development and effective teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and accreditation standards using data-driven decision-making.
• Support evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with physicians, staff, and leadership to advance organizational goals.
• Model professional nursing standards, ethical practices, and transformational leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure and knowledge of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in change management, quality improvement, and resource management.
• Ability to foster a positive, engaging work environment that promotes staff growth and patient-centered care.
