Nurse Manager Registered Nurse

About the role

Responsibilities

• Manage operations of your assigned unit
• Supervise the activities of all clinical staff on your assigned unit
• Provide guidance and education to clinical staff
• Achieve a positive and inclusive facility culture
• Maintain established infection prevention practices
• Ensure adequate staffing for resident’s needs

Requirements

• Minimum of an unencumbered State of South Dakota Registered Nurse (R.N.) license
• C.P.R. Certification
• Two (2) years of R.N. experience
• Prior experience managing a nursing department or unit is preferable but not required

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of R.N. experience

• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure
