Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, North Carolina seeks a Manager/Senior Manager of Patient Care Services to lead and supervise the operations of a patient care area. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement clinical standards and participate in strategic planning
- Communicate with administration and serve as a staff and patient advocate
- Interface with patients and families to ensure consistent care
- Assess and coach staff, ensuring clinical competency and career satisfaction
- Coordinate personnel actions including hiring, performance evaluations, and terminations
- Plan and schedule work, maintain unit records, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Operations to develop budgets and resource efficiency plans
- Ensure proper distribution and delegation of assignments, and efficient utilization of personnel, space, and facilities
- Manage inventory, equipment, and supplies, and coordinate activities with other hospital personnel
- Monitor resource consumption and ensure patient care delivery meets standards
- Prepare budgetary recommendations and monitor fiscal requirements of assigned units

- Master's degree in Nursing is preferred
- Three years of nursing experience is required
- Current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina is required
