About the role
The Nurse Manager at Methodist Hospital Northeast is responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and delegating the delivery of patient care to a defined group of patients during their entire hospitalization period. They manage patient care in units, promote professional nursing practices, and utilize resources to meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities

- Assess and prioritize opportunities to improve processes
- Evaluate outcomes of process improvement activities
- Model Methodist Excellence and support the Mission and Vision of the MHS
- Maintain hospital’s Standards of Care and Practice
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- RN hired after 01/01/2013 without BSN must enroll in a BSN or higher degree program within two years of hire and submit documentation to CNO (or designated representative)
- Complete BSN or higher degree program within five years of hire
- Three years clinical acute care RN experience
- One year management experience
- Complete initial and ongoing training and competencies specific to patient population served (if applicable)
- Current license to practice professional registered nursing in Texas
