About the Role
The ICU Manager is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and evaluation of nursing care provided on the assigned unit(s). The Manager coordinates and supervises the activities for the unit, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of care. The Manager assists the Department Director in the implementation of Performance Improvement activities, hospital policies/procedures, and in the financial management of the Unit.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of Texas or compact license.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
- CCRN certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire date.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Critical Care Department required.
- 2+ years of management experience preferred; will consider management experience outside of healthcare.

- Strong time management abilities.
- Strong communication skills, including willingness to have difficult conversations.
- Ability to cultivate a strong team and gain buy-in from staff on the HCA way, with the ability to explain the "why" behind decisions.
- Must have a strong presence within the unit.
- Flexibility with changes and ability to pivot when needed.
- Driven, coachable, and team-oriented approach.
This role will also oversee Monitor Technicians in Telemetry.

Schedule
Full-time, evening shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM.
