Nurse Manager NICU

The Nurse Manager assumes direct responsibility for coordinating and supervising assigned department(s), including financial responsibility, departmental performance, performance management, and quality improvement programs. This role identifies all customer groups, assesses their needs, and coordinates the department to successfully achieve service line objectives. Assists the Director in policy/procedure development and monitoring, multi-disciplinary business planning, and program growth development.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for 24/7 oversight of the day-to-day operations of the department through implementation of strategy, policy, direction, and action planning.
• Meets Health System's Guiding Behaviors and Caring Standards, including interpersonal communication and professional conduct expectations.
• Executes established plans and services through analysis, measurement, monitoring, reporting, and adjusting direction, allocation, and utilization of available resources.
• Facilitates and manages team performance using Total Quality, Human Resources, and Financial skills, techniques, and communications.
• Establishes and maintains positive and productive working relationships with all relevant customers and suppliers.
• Develops assigned aspects of organizational strategic and tactical plans in concert with established planning processes.
• Serves as liaison to Senior Management and Medical Staff for the functional areas of responsibility.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable SARMC policies and procedures.

Requirements

• RN license, as defined by their primary work state (Idaho or Oregon), issued prior to hire date.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with 5 years of nursing experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross at hire (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS).
• Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
