Nurse Manager - Neurorehabilitation

About the role

The Nurse Manager at Nexus Neurorecovery Center – Conroe is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care. This role involves clinical leadership, patient care coordination, team development, quality assurance, and operational oversight.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care delivery
• Maintain strong knowledge of patient histories, progress, and treatment goals
• Provide direct patient care as needed (medications, IV therapy, responding to codes, etc.)
• Cook up care with ancillary departments to enhance patient outcomes
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Conduct daily rounding to assess patient care and unit environment
• Collaborate with leadership on performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions
• Ensure staff maintain required certifications and competencies
• Ensure documentation meets regulatory and accreditation standards
• Address patient and physician concerns promptly and effectively
• Develop and deliver education programs for staff, patients, and families
• Conduct monthly staff meetings and support ongoing communication
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital committees
• Participate in hospital-wide initiatives and committees

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas
• BSN preferred or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience in LTAC, rehabilitation, or long-term care settings preferred
• AHA BLS/CPR certification (required)
• CPI certification within 30 days of hire
• Current TB test within 14 days of employment and annually thereafter
• All certifications must remain active and in good standing
