Nurse Manager - Med Surg Float Pool (Days)

About the Role

The Nurse Manager performs nursing duties in accordance with hospital policy and procedure, supervising other nursing personnel responsible for patient care. This role assumes 24-hour responsibility for managing patient care and assigned personnel, ensuring high standards of patient care and nursing practice. The Nurse Manager prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care on the unit using the nursing process and is accountable for maintaining excellence in nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage nursing staff on the unit.
• Serve as a resource for Staff Nurses, Nursing Supervisors, and other departments.
• Instruct employees and provide active participation in staff development.
• Assume responsibility for the quality and quantity of work, costs, and resources for patient care delivery and personnel.
• Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and nursing practice for the entire unit.

Requirements

• Three years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Georgia Registered Nurse License or Multistate Nursing License.
• Demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, and organizational ability.
