About the role

The Nursing Technician performs basic nursing care and procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care and procedures under supervision
• Assists with patient care activities as directed
• Monitors patient conditions and reports changes to supervising nurses
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collects and records patient data accurately
• Ensures cleanliness and organization of patient areas

Requirements

• Education: Ability to read and write
• Experience: Six months of related experience
• Licenses and Certifications: Healthcare Provider (CPR)

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a practical nursing program or a student currently enrolled in a professional nursing program
• Previous experience working with patients
• One quarter of clinical experience as a student nurse
• Successful completion of a nurse aide course
• Experience from a related health care field preferred
