Nurse Manager, Main Operating Room

About the role

The primary purpose of the Nurse Manager of the Operating Room position is to operationalize the care delivery system in the Operating Room through the skillful directing, coaching, support, and delegation to staff in the provision of clinically and fiscally sound care and services to achieve patient/family goals, efficiency, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operationalizes the care delivery system in the Operating Room through the skillful directing, coaching, support, and delegation to staff in the provision of clinically and fiscally sound care and services to achieve patient/family goals, efficiency, and safety.
• Develops dynamically functioning surgical teams.
• Sustains the daily operational functioning of the surgical service and makes immediate modifications to prevent impediments and delays.
• Executes the unit/service area Performance Improvement Plan.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required, and a master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of (3) years clinical care delivery experience.
• Certification in Quality Improvement Techniques is preferred.
• BLS (CPR) is required.
