Regions Hospital has an opportunity to join our nursing leadership team as an Inpatient Nurse Manager for our NE6 Mental Health Unit. In this role, you will impact employees, patients, and their families by fostering a welcoming environment and delivering clinically excellent care while managing unit operations and staff. Unit overview

Northeast 6 is a 20-private-room unit with handicapped-accessible bathrooms, caring for patients aged 18 and older experiencing acute mental health illness of high acuity. Some patients may also have medical or surgical conditions requiring intervention. As a leader in mental health, Regions Hospital is the largest provider of inpatient mental health services in the east metro, offering comprehensive, personalized care for complex needs.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, plan, coordinate, and supervise patient care activities.
  • Establish, maintain, and evaluate standards of care.
  • Assume responsibility for staff development, environmental management, human resources, and fiscal oversight.
  • Provide 24/7 accountability, including off-shift phone support for patient care issues as needed.

Required qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or ADN and a baccalaureate in a related field, and a Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Education, Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, or Life Sciences (e.g., Chemistry). Or currently enrolled in a Master’s program with an established completion date.
  • Four (4) years (8,320 hours) of acute care RN experience, including two (2) years (4,160 hours) in a nursing leadership role (e.g., Assistant Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse).
  • Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.
  • Demonstrates CPR competency at hire and every two years thereafter.

Preferred qualifications

  • Nurse Manager experience.
  • Mental Health Nursing experience.
