About the role

This position leads the implementation of best practice models and patient care delivery systems across the service line. Responsibilities include delegating tasks related to patient/family concerns, facilitating collaboration with healthcare providers, monitoring resource needs, managing equipment and supplies, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining clinical expertise. The role also involves collaborating with Nursing Clinical Practice to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Depending on assignment, technical or supervisory experience in specialty areas such as Operating Room, Emergency Services, or Oncology may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and advocates for developmental opportunities; builds collaborative, cross-functional relationships.
  • Solicits and acts on performance feedback; sets goals and provides coaching to drive performance improvement.
  • Pursues professional growth; hires, trains, and develops talent; evaluates talent for succession planning.
  • Oversees implementation of organizational changes, best practices, and industry trends; shares best practices across teams.
  • Fosters open dialogue, motivates teams, and promotes collaboration to meet business objectives.
  • Delegates tasks and decisions; provides guidance and encourages development in decision-making.
  • Manages units or teams by translating business plans into tactical actions; ensures policy compliance and identifies improvement opportunities.
  • Aligns team efforts; builds accountability and measures progress in achieving results.
  • Communicates goals and objectives; incorporates resources and forecasts into plans.
  • Removes obstacles impacting performance; addresses improvement opportunities and develops contingency plans.
  • Manages ambulatory operations to support patient care, including oversight of timelines, workflows, and financial commitments.
  • Develops and guides operational initiatives; manages program services and systems; oversees human resource management.
  • Leads compliance readiness activities, including mock rounds and audit preparation.
  • Contributes to budget development, monitoring, and cost control.
  • Ensures standardized care delivery by developing strategic partnerships and overseeing complex workstreams.
  • Leads data gathering, analysis, and implementation of plans aligned with guidelines and regulations.
  • Manages resources in clinical areas; leads multidisciplinary teams and holds them accountable for performance.
  • Assists in designing emergency preparedness programs and ensures staff training.
  • Leads project teams and monitors implementation to ensure equitable resource distribution.
  • Manages improvements to patient-centered operations and technology processes.
  • Leads strategic projects to remediate issues and improve quality, service, and efficiency.
  • Develops structured approaches for identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Ensures performance metrics align with strategic organizational initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
  • Minimum three (3) years of customer or patient service experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, nursing, healthcare, or a related field AND minimum five (5) years of experience in business operations, clinical healthcare, or a related field OR minimum eight (8) years of experience in business operations, clinical healthcare, or a related field.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification required at hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Three (3) years of project/program management and/or implementation-related experience.

Pay

The posted pay range is $239,000 - $276,100 per year. Actual base pay will be determined based on labor market data, internal alignment, and a candidate’s relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
