Nurse Manager- Full Time

About the role

The Nurse Manager will be responsible for creating an environment of patient-focused care, defining standards for quality patient care, managing and developing collaborative teams in the unit, training new staff, and providing leadership to the nursing team. The Nurse Manager has responsibility and accountability for the successful operation of the department in the absence of the Director. They will report to the Director of Nursing and assist in administrative and clinical supervision. Assists with the planning, policy formulation and administrative decision making. Is a steward of the hospital's mission, vision, and service excellence program.

Responsibilities

• Staff/employee satisfaction, safety and quality, and customer satisfaction
• Assists in developing the annual departmental budget and operates within budgetary guidelines.
• Ensures staffing is appropriate to patient volume; manages census and worked hours (productivity).
