As a Nurse Manager in the Outpatient Endoscopy Unit, you will collaborate with a compassionate, innovative team, work with state‑of‑the‑art technology, and help enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience for patients, visitors, and fellow caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the practice of professional nursing and delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit.
• Establish clinical direction of nursing care, provide clinical supervision, and maintain quality outcomes and patient‑care standards.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
• Develop quality initiatives and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services.
• Develop and maintain unit‑related patient‑care standards through continuous quality improvement.
• Maintain adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
• Analyze personnel structure, determine staffing needs and mix, and provide direction and supervision.
• Evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination processes, and develop strategic plans.
• Promote staff and self‑development actively.
• Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities.
• Direct unit participation in evaluation of new products.
• Approve purchases and establish or revise inventory quotes.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of the budget.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• Three years of recent clinical nursing experience, including at least one year of healthcare management experience.
• High degree of clinical expertise in the specialty area.
• Demonstrated leadership, management, communication, counseling, problem‑solving, decision‑making, conflict‑resolution, and group‑process skills.

Physical Requirements

• Full range of motion, including handling and lifting patients; manual and finger dexterity; eye and hand coordination.
• Frequent data entry, sitting, standing, and walking.
• Corrective vision and hearing within normal range.
• Exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
• Medium work – exerting 20–50 lb of force occasionally, 10–25 lb frequently, and up to 10 lb constantly.
• Physical demand requirements exceed those for Light Work.
• Use of personal protective equipment following standard precautions as required.

Schedule

Days: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
