About the role
The Nurse Manager oversees the daily operations of a 40‑bed Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (4 Heart), managing a team of 56 staff members.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision, coordination, and leadership to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.
- Collaborate on organizational planning, innovation, and evaluation of initiatives.
- Promote staff development, foster a respectful environment, and support professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards, integrating clinical, human resource, and financial data for decision‑making.
- Recruit, onboard, and support staff to retain a motivated team aligned with organizational values.
- Participate in research and implement evidence‑based practices to improve care quality.
- Contribute to achieving business goals through team collaboration.
Qualifications & Skills
- BSN or equivalent required; Master's degree preferred.
- Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; national certification in clinical or leadership specialty within one year.
- Minimum five years of recent nursing experience, including at least two years in clinical hospital settings with demonstrated leadership skills.
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
