About the role

As a Nurse Manager in the Cardiac Stepdown & CVICU department at Manatee Memorial Hospital, you will oversee the daily operations of the unit, ensuring patient care quality and staff satisfaction. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Cardiac Stepdown & CVICU unit.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve unit efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Assure the provision of safe, high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required.
  • Current RN license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing experience, preferably in critical care settings.
  • Experience in managing a clinical unit.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and mentor staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • CCRN certification preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
