Nurse - LVN/RN Part-Time

About the role

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / RN part‑to‑start position supporting Westinghouse’s nuclear facility at the South Texas Project (STP) in Wadsworth, TX. The role combines standard LVN clinical duties with nuclear facility safety, security, and fitness‑for‑duty compliance under NRC rules. You will work 100% of your hours on site. Position is contract‑to‑direct‑hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring health of plant employees for radiation exposure.
• Administering medical treatments in compliance with nuclear safety protocols.
• Supporting radiation safety officers and medical surveillance programs.
• Following strict radiation protection and facility security procedures.
• Ensuring personnel meet NRC Fitness‑for‑Duty Program requirements: trustworthy performance, free from substance impairment, and free from mental or physical impairment that could affect safe performance.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is estimated to be $26/hour to $32/hour, depending on experience, qualifications and skills.
