Nurse-LPN-Overnight Full Time Rotating Weekends -Coal Township

While performing your day-to-day nursing duties, you will perform very little to no bedside care. This role requires excellent nurses who are willing to critically think, follow policy and procedures, and work as part of a team.

About the Role

Gaudenzia's Mission is to promote long-term recovery by providing comprehensive treatment and support to people with substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health disorders, and related conditions, regardless of individual circumstances.

Pay

• LPN: $27.59–$30.00 per hour
• RN: $40.69–$46.50 per hour

Schedule

• Overnight shift
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• Minimum holiday requirement: 1 major summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day) and 1 major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day—night shift: New Year’s Eve)
• Essential position: required to work during inclement weather
• May be required to work shifts outside of assigned shifts during critical staffing shortages
• For sites with multiple programs, may be required to work in any program based on staffing needs

Qualifications

Education/Training:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing
• Must have a good standing LPN or RN license valid in the state of practice
• Current CPR Certification

Experience:

• New Grads and Newly Licensed LPNs and RNs are welcomed and encouraged to apply—direct job experience is not a requirement
• LPN 1: Recent graduate with up to one (1) year of experience
• LPN 2: Two (2) to five (5) years of nursing experience, with one (1) year in addictions, mental health, or related specialty
• LPN 3: Five (5) or more years of nursing experience, with two (2) years in addictions, mental health, or related specialty
• RN 1: Recent graduate with up to one (1) year of experience
• RN 2: Two (2) to five (5) years of nursing experience, with one (1) year in addictions, mental health, or related specialty
• RN 3: Five (5) or more years of nursing experience, with two (2) years in addictions, mental health, or related specialty

Responsibilities

• Perform initial nursing assessment for clients within 24 hours of admission in accordance with established program policies and state regulation
• Arrange appropriate appointments with Health Care Providers to secure complete physical examinations, health screenings, and supplemental tests
• Administer medications and supervise self-administered medications where appropriate and allowed by regulation
• Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and accurate records in compliance with governing regulations and agency policy
• Counsel clients on nutrition, health care, self-care, and symptom management
• Ensure clients have appropriate medical coverage for safety, care, and provider compliance for payment
• Ensure proper storage of supplies as required by regulation
• Assist in the facilitation of special events, including staff training, retreats, workshops, and facility events
• Implement health seminars on topics such as HIV/AIDS, nutrition, medication education, infectious diseases, and mental health
• Participate in treatment/multidisciplinary team meetings as directed
• Implement and ensure adherence to infection control policies and practices
• Provide education for clients regarding health, nutrition, safety, and medication compliance
• Maintain LPN/RN license in good standing
• Other related duties as assigned by Nurse Manager or designee
• PRN positions require a minimum of 3 shifts per month
