Nurse (LPN or RN) Unit Manager

About the role

We are currently searching for a Nurse Unit Manager to join our friendly, caring and supportive team at Avantara Arrowhead. Responsibilities

• Supervise the activities of all clinical staff on your assigned unit
• Provide guidance and education to clinical staff
• Achieve a positive and inclusive facility culture
• Maintain established infection prevention practices
• Ensure adequate staffing for resident's needs

Requirements

• Minimum of an unencumbered State of South Dakota Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Prior experience managing a nursing department is preferable but not required

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in nursing

Skills

• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
