Primary Patient Population

Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)

Primary Skills Utilized/Learned

• Neurological assessments
• Adaptive ADLs; SCI retraining
• Transfer/Mobility training
• Vital signs, IVs, Foley Catheter insertion/removal, Wound care, etc.

Personnel

Nurse Intern will work with RNs, LPNs, PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers/Case Management, Respiratory Therapy, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Art & Music Therapy, Dieticians.

Required Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
• Completed fundamentals of nursing
• Currently registered in clinical rotations
• Continuous enrollment in a nursing program
• Eligibility to continue in the position is a maximum of 6 months upon graduating from nursing school
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtains within 90 days of hire
