Nurse Intern - Neuro Trauma Recovery Stroke

About the role

We are seeking a Nurse Intern to join our Neuro Trauma Recovery Stroke Unit (5N) at a leading rehabilitation institute. In this role, you will assist with neurological assessments, adaptive activities of daily living (ADLs), transfer/mobility training, and monitoring vital signs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, PCNAs, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to support patient recovery.

Responsibilities

• Providing patient care
• Assisting with procedures like IVs, Foley catheter insertion/removal, wound care
• Supporting patients with neurological and mobility needs

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited nursing program
• Completed fundamentals of nursing
• Currently in clinical rotations
• Eligible to continue in the role for up to 6 months post-graduation

Skills and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification required within 90 days of hire
