About the Role
Nurse Extern in the Progressive Care Unit, supporting nursing staff and gaining practical patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and supporting patient mobility.
- Monitoring vital signs and performing basic procedures such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection.
- Accurately documenting care, communicating updates to the healthcare team, and educating patients and families.
- Maintaining infection control protocols and collaborating to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- Certification as a CNA.
- BLS certification within 30 days of start.
