About the Role

Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including activities of daily living, vital signs, and blood glucose monitoring. Assists in developing and implementing individualized care plans based on patient needs, preferences, and developmental stages.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient responses to interventions and effectively communicates observations to the RN.
• Develops delegation skills for working with nursing assistants and technical staff.
• Administers medications as delegated, demonstrating clinical judgment and proficiency.
• Manages multiple patients, incorporating time management principles.
• Performs patient positioning, transportation, and emergency response activities.
• Assesses patient data, identifying needs specific to age and development stages, adhering to departmental policies.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and have completed relevant clinical courses.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting, pushing, pulling, and transferring patients.
• Exposure to various hazards requiring protective measures.
