Nurse Extern II - ICU

About the role

The Nurse Extern II (NE II) is a member of the patient care services team with primary responsibilities for technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities. The NE II is assigned to work under the supervision of a registered nurse who delegates tasks based upon patient needs and NE II skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Report all deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse.
• Assist with providing patient care such as ADLS, vitals, ambulation and other duties within the scope of patient care tech or equivalent.
• Assist the assigned RN in providing patient care and learning new skills.
• Follow established policies and procedures for patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum qualifications: Applicants can apply starting 6 months before graduation from an accredited school of nursing and must pass all senior courses to remain in the program.

Schedule

Shifts are typically 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
