About the role
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our med-surg patients in our advanced facilities that include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit. The Nurse Extern role is designed to provide expanded clinical experience for senior professional (RN) nursing students and to assist the Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities.
Responsibilities
- Participates in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation, as well as reporting significant observations to a Registered Nurse.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our med-surg patients in our advanced facilities that include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit.
- Performs related duties as required.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program, and upon completion of first clinical rotation.
- CPR certification.

Pay
Starting at $18.50 per hour. Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
