About the Role

A Nurse Extern supports the nursing team by providing essential patient care, assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, performing basic procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and hygiene. They document care, communicate updates, educate patients and families, and maintain a safe, organized environment while engaging in learning opportunities to develop their nursing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient care tasks
• Supporting patient mobility
• Providing wound and catheter care
• Collecting specimens
• Documenting care and patient updates
• Educating patients and families
• Preventing infections
• Collaborating with supervisors to build personal career development

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program
• Certification as a CNA
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment
