Nurse Educator, Surgical Services
Employment Type: Full time, Day Shift
About the Role
The Nurse Educator of Surgical Services supports the ongoing education, competencies, training, onboarding, and orientation of staff in all surgical services areas: OR, PACU, GI lab, IR, Cath lab, etc., in addition to house-wide responsibilities. This role is responsible for the surgery education of staff and serves as a resource and consultant to managers and staff on educational issues in assigned departments and units.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s Degree preferred
- RN Indiana license
- 3-5 years of experience in clinical education with operating room experience
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching, and instruction for individuals and groups, including the measurement of training effects
