About the role
This role oversees clinical education and competency development for nursing staff in Pre-Op, PACU, Phase II Recovery, and Pre-Anesthesia Testing. Working with leadership, the nurse educator ensures new staff have the resources and knowledge to deliver high-quality care, focusing on Medical/Surgical and Critical Care during evening and night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement orientation programs for new nursing staff.
- Conduct skills validation and competency assessments.
- Coordinate and lead competency initiatives for nursing teams.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN program.
- Active Washington RN license.
- At least three years of acute care experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Teaching or educational development experience (preferred).
Skills
- Clinical expertise in Medical/Surgical and Critical Care.
- Educational program development and implementation.
- Collaboration with healthcare teams and leadership.
