About the role

This role oversees clinical education and competency development for nursing staff in Pre-Op, PACU, Phase II Recovery, and Pre-Anesthesia Testing. Working with leadership, the nurse educator ensures new staff have the resources and knowledge to deliver high-quality care, focusing on Medical/Surgical and Critical Care during evening and night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement orientation programs for new nursing staff.
  • Conduct skills validation and competency assessments.
  • Coordinate and lead competency initiatives for nursing teams.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program.
  • Active Washington RN license.
  • At least three years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • Teaching or educational development experience (preferred).

Skills

  • Clinical expertise in Medical/Surgical and Critical Care.
  • Educational program development and implementation.
  • Collaboration with healthcare teams and leadership.
