The Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS) facilitates the growth and development of nursing staff across the organization, supporting their progression from novice to expert. Responsibilities Include Assessing learning needs based on regulatory standards, evidence-based practice, and staff inputSupporting leadership development in nurses and self to enhance professional practice and patient careRepresenting nursing in interprofessional educational initiativesDeveloping, educating, and implementing quality improvement projectsCreating and evaluating competency-based orientation programsDeveloping ongoing competencies in collaboration with education teams Qualifications Master's degree or higher in nursing (enrolled in a master's program with completion by 6/1/2027)3-5 years of active nursing experience; teaching or specialty experience preferredRN licensure in CT/RI and board certification within 2 years of hire Skills Ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate educational programsAbility to support staff development and quality initiativesWillingness to travel within the health system to facilitate training
