Nurse Educator

About the Role

Responsible for supporting perioperative staff through education, competency development, onboarding, and ongoing clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Provide education, coaching, and training to OR nursing staff.
• Develop and implement clinical competencies, skills validation, and annual training programs.
• Support onboarding for new OR staff and travelers.
• Collaborate with surgeons, leadership, and perioperative teams to enhance workflow and patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in the surgical department.

Requirements

• Active NYS RN license.
• Extensive OR experience (scrub and/or circulating).
• Experience in OR education, precepting, or training preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
