Nurse Clinical/Ambulatory/UKHC

About the role

The Markey Cancer Center Nurse Clinical Ambulatory provides disease specific patient care to a group of patients who have serious acute and/or chronic health events or who are seeking healthcare to maintain their state of wellness. This position requires working with medical professionals who are working under time and efficiency constraints in a busy ambulatory care setting with a patient centered care focus on quality, safety, and service. A working knowledge of enterprise, nursing, departmental policies, protocols, and procedures is needed to be successful.

Responsibilities

• Clinical evaluation or interventions

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license/certification
• Basic computer knowledge: MS Windows, Word, Outlook
• No prior experience required

Physical requirements

• Lift, carry, push and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis and 25-50 pounds frequently
• Stand, walk and sit for long periods of time
• Exposure to communicable diseases, hazards of radiation, and injury from intractable patients and sharp instruments

Schedule

Monday through Friday: 4 ten-hour shifts

Pay

$28.00–39.10/hour
