Nurse Assistant NAR
About the role
Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Aberdeen is seeking Nursing Assistants who have an active Nurse Assistant Registration (NAR), have completed CNA courses and clinicals, and are working toward their CNA license. In this role you will provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff while helping to promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment. Responsibilities
- Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Ambulate residents.
- Apply proper lifting and transferring techniques.
- Provide proper positioning and use of postural supports.
- Maintain residents’ positioning as needed.
- Weigh residents on schedule and record weights accurately.
- Provide restorative and rehabilitative nursing.
- Directly respond, within scope of practice, to residents’ and family members’ needs and concerns.
- Work with the caregiving team to identify and resolve resident and family issues.
- Promptly respond to call lights and other resident needs.
- Treat residents with compassion and dignity.
- Establish effective communication and interaction with residents and families.
- Ensure residents are given the correct diet.
- Use proper feeding techniques while respecting personal dignity and meeting residents’ needs for socialization.

- Must be at least 18 years old.
