Responsibilities

  • Complete initial patient assessments and reassessments as indicated by patient condition, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking by implementing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
  • Maintain physical ability to safely and effectively care for assigned patient populations.
  • Manage medication administration and intravenous (IV) access according to physician's orders, adhering to policies and professional standards.
  • Document nursing care and patient status in accordance with the nursing process and established guidelines.
  • Promote patient and family-centered care through effective verbal and written communication with patients, families, and the care-delivery team.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Technical or Vocational School).
  • One (1) year of experience as an RN in an acute care setting or successful completion of applicable clinical and didactic SRDH specialty training course(s).
  • Current certifications:
    • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Nevada.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association.
    • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • One (1) year of experience as an RN in Same-Day Surgery (SDS).

$69.69 - $72.69 per hour.
