Nurse Aide Healthcare Technician - Atrium Health Cabarrus - Progressive Coronary Care - FT

About the role

Serves patients/residents in a progressive coronary care setting, performing a variety of duties as outlined in the scope of Nurse Aide I or II tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients/residents with activities of daily living.
• Assists with personal hygiene and vital signs.
• Feeds and ambulates patients/residents according to specific procedures.
• Maintains patient/resident rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
• Observes and reports changes in patient/resident conditions.
• Orients patients/families to unit and instructs on safety measures.
• Performs clerical duties such as answering phones, entering data, and maintaining medical records.
• Maintains stock supply items in inventory management.
• Performs technical tasks such as administering a 12-Lead ECG and routine venipuncture.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I or with the applicable state Board of Nursing as a Nurse Aide II.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift and support up to 35 pounds.
• Must speak and understand English in good understandable terms.
• Manual and finger dexterity required.

Skills

• Knowledge of growth and development principles.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Basic computer skills for accessing and managing patient records.

Pay

$19.80 - $29.70 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Night shift, holidays, and weekends.
