Overview

Mercy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU).

Position Details

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiac progressive care patients, following evidence-based practice and Mercy standards.

  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient responses, intervening promptly as needed.

  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures with accuracy and clinical judgment.

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to create and implement individualized care plans.

  • Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.

  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the electronic medical record.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold patient safety practices.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific).

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Preferred: Previous experience in cardiac, telemetry, PCU, or critical care nursing.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtained within a specified timeframe).

  • NIH Stroke Scale certification (if applicable to unit protocols).
