Responsibilities
- Contributes to administrative functioning of nursing services by reviewing staffing, reassigning and allocating staff as appropriate to meet changing patient care needs.
- Serves as a clinical resource and role model to nursing staff. Ensures safe and equitable working environments. Uses information systems to retrieve, implement, and retain essential records and services.
- Interacts with internal and external customers and serves as a resource for information and problem solving (i.e. media, patient relations, risk management, security, hospital administration, patients, and families).
- Serves as a liaison between nursing services and other hospital departments for problem solving and problem resolution (i.e. Pharmacy, Lab, etc.).
- Covers for nursing staff during internal and external emergency situations.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree
- RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or Current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
- Field of Study: Nursing
- Years of Experience: 2 to 5 years
- Staffing and scheduling patterns, communication, interpersonal relationships skills, problem solving, and conflict resolution
- Minimum 2 Years Clinical Experience
- BLS Certified
- Specialized Knowledge in related field
- Demonstrated leadership skills
