About The Role

As a Nuclear Scientist and Engineer, you will play a significant role in developing and implementing plans and strategy for a revolutionary energy startup.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out nuclear research experiments and analyze data to validate feasibility for the product designs
  • Design and maintain nuclear equipment, such as reactors and radiation shields
  • Work with safety measures in nuclear power technology and ensure they are followed
  • Implement new procedures, policies, work processes, and standards to maximize safety and operational effectiveness

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering or equivalent required. Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in nuclear reactor design, particularly for mobile applications. Leadership experience in nuclear engineering projects. Proficiency with relevant nuclear reactor design software. Experience in advanced neutronics modeling and simulation. Regulatory Compliance: Strong knowledge of nuclear safety regulations and licensing procedures. Experience working with regulatory bodies such as the NRC. Innovative Design Skills: Ability to design innovative, safe, and efficient nuclear reactor systems for mobile use. Safety Focus: Commitment to nuclear safety and implementing safety measures. Understanding of fail-safe and fail-secure design principles. Materials Science and Thermodynamics: Proficiency in materials science and thermodynamics related to nuclear reactors. Knowledge of materials selection and radiation effects.

Benefits

$80,000 - $500,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
