Nuclear Medicine Technologist

About the role

The successful candidate will provide clinical services in accordance with nuclear medicine practice standards, serve as a resource for radiography students and other technologists, adhere to hospital and department policies, comply with regulatory standards, promote a positive work environment, prepare and administer radioactive isotopes, perform diagnostic imaging procedures, complete required competencies, ensure compliance with quality standards, complete mandatory continuing education units, protect patient confidentiality, foster a positive work group, act as a mentor and resource, and share knowledge and expertise.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes
• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with Nuclear Medicine Practice Standards
• Maintain compliance with hospital and department policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with quality standards specific to nuclear medicine modalities
• Complete mandatory continuing education units as required to maintain board certification and state licensure
• Protect the confidentiality of all patient care, personnel, and business/financial information
• Foster a positive, flexible, and team-oriented work group
• Act as a mentor and resource to radiography students and other technologists
• Share knowledge and expertise

Requirements

• Must be a Certified or Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist and licensed to practice in the state of Vermont via NMTCB and/or ARRT
