Nuclear Medicine Tech PRN

About the role

Performs those duties involved with a variety of technical procedures, administering radiopharmaceuticals for the purpose of detecting pathology, evaluating function, or as a means of therapy. Operates all the equipment utilized within the department, and develops and organizes films for presenting to the radiologist. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Administers radiopharmaceuticals for various diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
• Operates and maintains all equipment used in the nuclear medicine department.
• Develops and organizes diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists.
• Maintains professional relationships with colleagues, other departments, and medical staff.
• May be required to work call shifts.

Requirements

• Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist
• Vocational School Graduate
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
