Nuclear Med Tech PRN
Job Summary
Performs routine Nuclear Medicine procedures and produces quality images while applying radiation safety. Verifies physician orders, screens patients for appropriateness of study, educates patients, selects appropriate protocols, and demonstrates ability to problem solve image quality. Provides patient care for a population base of all ages including pediatric through geriatric. Assures the equipment is functioning properly. Prepares radiopharmaceuticals. Coordinates technical work and patient flow. Provides computer-enhanced post-processing of procedure. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and a professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and Medical Staff.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or ARRT (N)
- Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Florida State License Nuclear Medicine
