About the Role

Jump-start your career as a Nuclear Med Tech PRN at Methodist Hospital Westover Hills. This role involves supervising assigned personnel, ensuring effective planning and operation of the section(s), and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine training program
  • 2 years of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist in a hospital setting
  • One of the following certifications:
    • ARRT (R)
    • ARRT (N)
    • ARRT (T)
    • NMTCB
    • Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification from Texas Department of Health
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
  • Vocational School Graduate (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer, or (CNMT) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or (ARRT-R) Radiography (must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date)
  • 6 months of experience required

Responsibilities

  • Supervise assigned personnel and ensure effective planning and operation of the section(s).
  • Evaluate employee performance and take appropriate personnel actions when necessary.
  • Motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance by providing clear direction and expectations.
  • Lead formal and informal meetings to maximize team success.
  • Foster an atmosphere that encourages open expression of ideas and opinions.
  • Maintain inventory and equipment service records.
  • Work with vendors to ensure optimum uptime of equipment.
  • Schedule preventive and emergency maintenance without disrupting patient care.
  • Assess the impact of decisions on other components of the organization.
  • Communicate with other managers and directors regarding decisions that may impact other sections.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify relevant issues and define problems accurately.
  • Use resources effectively and efficiently to maintain productivity standards.
  • May have access to radiopharmaceuticals, contrast agents, and other non-controlled medications.
  • Support the mission and vision of the Methodist Healthcare System and demonstrate excellent customer service.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures, reporting unsafe conditions to supervisors.
  • Adhere to the MHS Code of Conduct and demonstrate ethical behavior.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
