About the role
Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to prepare and administer radioactive drugs and operate radiation detection and imaging equipment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radioactive drugs
- Operate radiation detection and imaging equipment
- Use Dose Calibrator, Geiger Counter, Captus well counter and uptake probe
- Operate Stress Lab equipment including EKG machines and treadmills
- Use glucometer, blood pressure monitors, and pulse oximeters
- Participate in on-call rotations
- Collaborate with stress test nurses in a fast-paced hospital diagnostic imaging environment
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital diagnostic imaging environment
Qualifications
- Experience with Dose Calibrator, Geiger Counter, Captus well counter and uptake probe
- Experience operating Stress Lab equipment including EKG machines and treadmills
- Experience using glucometer, blood pressure monitors, and pulse oximeters
- Experience in diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine
