Nuclear Medicine Tech – Full Time

About the role

Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to prepare and administer radioactive drugs and operate radiation detection and imaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radioactive drugs
• Operate radiation detection and imaging equipment
• Use Dose Calibrator, Geiger Counter, Captus well counter and uptake probe
• Operate Stress Lab equipment including EKG machines and treadmills
• Use glucometer, blood pressure monitors, and pulse oximeters
• Participate in on-call rotations
• Collaborate with stress test nurses in a fast-paced hospital diagnostic imaging environment

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
• State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital diagnostic imaging environment

Qualifications

• Experience with Dose Calibrator, Geiger Counter, Captus well counter and uptake probe
• Experience operating Stress Lab equipment including EKG machines and treadmills
• Experience using glucometer, blood pressure monitors, and pulse oximeters
• Experience in diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine
