About the Role
The Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist performs advanced imaging exams to support patient diagnosis and care in a supportive healthcare setting focused on compassionate patient care. The role involves frequent patient and provider interactions, physical activity such as lifting and moving patients, and working in busy clinical environments.
Responsibilities
- Maintain clinical competency in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures
- Execute imaging procedures according to established protocols
- Review image quality and ensure diagnostic accuracy
- Adhere to radiation safety and regulatory guidelines
- Provide patient education and support
- Practice infection control measures
- Operate imaging equipment accurately and safely
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
Requirements
- Current state license in Nuclear Medicine
- ARRT or NMTCB certification
- BLS certification
- IV certification
- At least one year of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience
Preferred Qualifications
- PET/CT experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
