About the role
Epic Piping is seeking a Nuclear Document Control Supervisor to join their team. This position offers opportunities to work on diverse projects both nationally and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Document Maintenance: Supervise and oversee Document Controllers in managing company documents, ensuring adherence to procedures and schedules.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with records retention schedules and coordinate archival and disposition activities.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain and retain quality assurance records in accordance with relevant standards.
- MTR Verification: Oversee the MTR verification process, ensuring all necessary checks are completed before materials are released.
- Training and Evaluation: Train, assign tasks to, and evaluate the performance of Document Controllers.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Serve as the point of escalation for document control issues and resolve them.
- Weld Logging: Oversee the training of weld loggers and review entries for accuracy, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Final Lot Determination: Ensure final reviews and approvals of weld lot determinations, coordinating with relevant departments.
- Document Package Compilation: Oversee the assembly of spool dossiers, ensuring compliance with the Job Instruction and confirming documentation packages.
- Final Document Review: Ensure final reviews and sign-offs of spool dossiers, preparing them for submission to the customer inspector.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; Preferred
- Experience: 3+ years' experience in document control within a fabrication or engineering environment; 1+ years' experience in a lead or supervisory capacity
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Xenon Weld Logging, NDE Selection/NDE Report Entry, Matvis
- Certification/Licenses: None specifically required
