About the role
This position’s primary focus is to complete a Nuclear Medicine procedure/therapy in a safe, efficient manner according to departmental, hospital, state, and federal guidelines. An experienced Nuclear Technologist is necessary to manage patient throughput, quality control, inventory, equipment evaluation and calibration, billing accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Execute diagnostic studies and interventional procedures by following unit policies/procedures for radiation safety, patient safety, radiopharmaceutical administration, QA, and imaging.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree
- 1 year of experience
- Temporary license required at time of hire, with official Nuclear Medicine registry obtained within 1 year of hire if not already completed
- KY State Radiation License at time of hire
- Basic Life Support certification via AHA within 90 days of hire
Physical Requirements
- Lifting and pulling weight greater than 50 pounds
- Ability to walk/commute to different areas within medical campus
Schedule
- Shift opportunities will be discussed during the interview process
- Depending on level, employees must work a minimum of 96 to 216 hours in a 6-week period
Pay
- Level I – 96 hours any shift / 6-week schedule = $43/hour
- Level II – 144 hours any shift / 6-week schedule = $51/hour
- Level III – 216 hours any shift / 6-week schedule = $59/hour
