Department: CT Services – Temporary, on-call position based in Lexington, KY.
About the Role
The CT Technologist provides CT imaging that assists physicians in expediting patient care. Quality, efficiency, and service excellence are essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional CT procedures per department protocols.
- Provide feedback on images to improve quality as needed.
- Address customer needs according to age-specific, service-specific, and disease-specific criteria.
- Follow proper procedures for patient identification.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree.
- 1 year of related experience.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification at time of hire.
- Kentucky State Radiation Operators License at time of hire.
- Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of hire.
- Computed Tomography (CT) certification within one year of hire.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift, push, and/or pull objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds.
- Perform tasks with repetitive motions.
- Intermittently stand or walk with objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Sit at a computer workstation for extended periods.
- Occasionally work at heights above four feet and/or in confined spaces.
- Exposure to risks including moving/lifting patients or equipment, loud noises, temperature extremes, hazardous chemicals/fumes, radiation, blood-borne or airborne pathogens, and combative/violent individuals.
Pay
Per diem rates based on hours worked in a 6-week schedule:
- Level I – 96 hours (any shift): $39/hour
- Level II – 144 hours (any shift): $47/hour
- Level III – 216 hours (any shift): $55/hour
- Level IV – 216 hours (nights only): $63/hour
Schedule
Shift opportunities will be discussed during the interview. Depending on level, employees must work a minimum of 96 to 216 hours in a 6-week period.
