Responsibilities
- Performs vital diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
- Operates advanced cameras and imaging equipment to map and detect radioactive drugs.
- Ensures accurate and compassionate patient positioning and selects appropriate imaging factors.
- Handles, prepares, and administers radiopharmaceuticals following strict safety protocols.
- Maintains the highest quality standards for all images and documentation, ensuring correct patient data and history.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required:
- Certified Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
