Responsibilities
- Conducts testing using mainly mass spectrometry to perform high-complexity testing in a CLIA-accredited and ISO 17025 compliant clinical and forensic toxicology chemistry laboratory
- Supports both the Nebraska Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) and the Nebraska Public Service Laboratory (NPSL)
- Follows all safety and laboratory policies and procedures
- Maintains required documentation
- Maintains instrumentation
- Supports research testing as needed
- Maintains competency in all designated testing methods
- Works with NPHL leadership and staff in the coordination of state and national programs
- Works with partnering agencies at the local, state and national levels
