NPDI Project Manager MV SWGR - IEEE AIS
Position Summary
The MV SWGR (Switchgear) NPDI Project Manager IEEE AIS leads and executes product lifecycle activities for the Switchgear PL in the Americas. The role involves managing the Vertiv NPDI process for product development, working with the MV SWGR Product Manager to develop product requirements, and assisting with marketing and financial aspects of the project. Additionally, the role includes working with Product Management to phase out old products.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Vertiv NPDI process for product development as well as phase out.
- Work closely with the MV SWGR Product Manager to develop the new product's requirement specification.
- Work closely with all stakeholders to develop the feature specification and ensure project deliverables are met.
- Aid in creating literature and promotional materials for the product launch and support.
- Ensure prototypes are delivered on time to support test lab availability and the product's launch.
- Collaborate with sales, pricing, and finance to ensure financial success.
- Report progress to executives and align with other projects in the Vertiv portfolio.
- Ensure team members load attributed data to support Oracle, PD Cloud, and configuration systems.
- Work with Advanced Manufacturing Engineers to ensure product manufacturability and manage capital investments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience in product engineering, manufacturing, or marketing in the electrical apparatus industry.
- MBA beneficial but not required.
- Demonstrated experience in Engineering / Supply Chain or Manufacturing Operations and working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to drive and accept change, continuous improvement processes.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Project.
- Experience leading cross-functional meetings and presenting to small groups, both in person and via digital conference calls.
- Experience in NPDI and PLM.
- Demonstrated curiosity and a lifelong learner.
